Curi is currently in early access. A dedicated legal entity for the service is being formed; until then these documents refer to the operator of the Curi service. They will be updated with the entity name when formation completes.

Community guidelines

Curi is a place to find your nights and remember them with your people. That only works if it feels good to be here. These guidelines are part of our terms of service; breaking them can get content removed and accounts suspended or banned.

1. Respect the room

Write reviews as sharp as you like about the music, the sound system, and the night. Keep it civil about people. No harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted abuse of other members, artists, venue staff, or anyone else. Disagreement is fine; cruelty is not.

2. No hate

Content that promotes hate, violence, or discrimination against people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age has no place here, and neither do the coded symbols and dog whistles that stand in for it. Dance floors have always belonged to everyone. So does Curi.

3. Be a person, be yourself

No impersonating other people, artists, venues, or Curi staff. No fake accounts, bought engagement, spam, or self-promotion schemes. If you are affiliated with an event or venue you are reviewing, say so.

4. Keep it legal and keep it decent

Nothing unlawful, and no sexually explicit content. Never post content that exploits or endangers minors in any way; we remove it, close the account, and report it to the authorities. Do not post other people’s private information (addresses, phone numbers, identity details) or photos of identifiable people used to shame or harass them.

5. Post what is yours

Write your own reviews and post your own photos and videos. Do not upload content you do not have rights to; credit and link sources when you quote. Copyright complaints are handled per section 11 of the terms.

6. Keep the catalog honest

The event catalog is shared infrastructure. Do not submit events, artists, or venues you know to be false, do not vandalize listings, and do not manipulate ratings or activity signals. If you spot a wrong listing, report it instead.

7. Look out for each other

Curi points at real nights in real rooms. Respect venues and their staff, respect the people around you, and look out for your friends. Anything that happens at an event is between you, the venue, and the organizer (see section 7 of the terms), but a good community starts with how we treat each other out there.

8. Reporting and enforcement

Every review, comment, and profile has report and block controls; you can also email support@curi.events. Reports are reviewed by humans. Depending on severity we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or permanently ban accounts, and for serious matters involve law enforcement. We consider context, and for egregious conduct we may act on the first offense. Filing knowingly false reports is itself a violation. If you think we got a call wrong, reply to the notification or email us and a person will take a second look.

These guidelines will evolve with the community. Short version: come for the music, bring your people, and leave every room better than you found it.
